Salina, located at the
crossroads of I-70 and I-135, is a city of nearly 50,000 people, with a
labor basin of a 118,600. It has a strong, diverse economy, based on
industry sectors in aviation, technology, production cabinetry,
manufacturing, medical services, education, and transportation and
distribution. As such, it has
become a regional employment, retail, medical, and hospitality hub for North
Central and Central Kansas.

College of Technology and Aviation,
two private colleges, and the Salina Area Technical School -- as well as by
