The Prairie Patch Craft Show began in 1999 with 20 vendors and attendance of a couple hundred shoppers. Now we fill our three gyms to capacity with 120 vendor spaces and attendance exceeding 2,000. This annual event has become the local area kick-off to the holiday shopping season and a social event for many friends and families. Homemade food, generous booth space and handicapped accessibility make for an inviting environment for vendors and shoppers alike. We charge modest booth rental and we do not take a
percentage of vendor sales. The public is admitted free of charge. We fill our three gyms to capacity and shopper support is tremendous. This annual event has become the local area kick-off to the holiday shopping season.
The SES community provides wonderful volunteers who eagerly help to make this event successful. The Prairie Patch is sponsored by the Southeast of Saline Education Foundation, and allows fund raising opportunities for school organizations as well as community groups. Vendors are screened for a wide range of quality products. Nearly 80% of our vendors have met or exceeded their sales expectations. It is our goal to attract local talented artists and craftsmen as well as those who professionally travel the craft
The Prairie Patch Café offers a variety of homemade rolls, soups, sandwiches and pies. Our dining room affords a comfortable and “reunion-type” atmosphere.
