Make family memories in Salina! Rolling Hills Zoo has two experiences to offer their visitors - at the beautiful outdoor zoological park and the indoor wildlife museum...PLUS "An American Adventure", an immersive experience set in Jamestown, 1607, now presented in their Earl Bane Gallery of the museum. The Heart Land Toy Show comes alive at Kenwood Hall (11/15). "Candy Canes & Airplanes" lands at Salina Regional Airport (12/6) with activities, crafts and photos with Santa.  The Yesteryear Museum is always a surprise for visitors, especially when they light things up with their Drive-Thru Christmas Display (weekends, opening (12/5). The Smoky Hill Museum is proudly featuring "Dust, Depression and the New Deal: Life in the 1930's" as their current exhibit, and welcomes you to their Holiday Open House (12/6). 

Are sports what you are about?  Then you need to head to the Bicentennial Center for "War of the Wheels Roller Derby Tournament, an invitational hosted by the Salina Sirens Roller Derby  team (11/7-8). If running is your thing, check out the Frosty Fun Runs during our big holiday weekend downtown (11/22).  There is a lot more on hand that weekend with the Salina Downtown Christmas Festival and Parade of Lights, where Santa is a sure sight!

Salina is well known for the cultural opportunities and entertainment we have to offer! The historic Stiefel Theatre of the Performing Arts presents exciting performances in a beautifully restored 1930s theatre. Coming up on the marquee... comedian Rodney Carrington (11/7), country crooner Trace Adkins (12/6). Salina Symphony takes the Stiefel stage with"Our Favorite Things - An Afternoon of Rodgers and Hammerstein" (11/9) and "Christmas Festival (12/13). Coming soon to the Bicentennial Center, enjoy the "Taste of Home Cooking School" (11/6) and great holiday entertainment with the "Mannheim Steamroller Holiday Show" (11/15).

Beyond performances, from galleries to exhibitions to an eclectic public art collection and great films, Salina IS about the arts.  Salina Art Center is nationally acclaimed for their exhibitions and programming. The Art Center Cinema features cutting-edge films every evening. Public art is accessible across the community on thoroughfares and buildings, in parks and alleyways.  SculptureTour Salina  features 26 sculptures downtown, and you can still vote for your favorite People's Choice Award (until 12/31) and be entered to win a great prize package!
