Coming soon to the historic Stiefel Theatre of the Performing Arts marquee: songstress Sarah McLachlan (3/4), children's classics "The Ugly Duckling" and "The Tortoise and The Hare" (3/5), country's Diamond Rio (3/6) and Dave Mason (#/14). The best live theatre between Topeka and Denver can be discovered at Salina Community Theater, with a fun family show "Freckleface Strawberry, The Musical (3/7) and "Deathtrap" opening April 10. 

Beyond performances, from galleries to exhibitions to an eclectic public art collection and great films, Salina IS about the arts.  Salina Art Center is nationally acclaimed for their exhibitions and programming. The Art Center Cinema features cutting-edge films every evening. Public art is accessible across the community on thoroughfares and buildings, in parks and alleyways.  The Yesteryear Museum is always a surprise for visitors who explore their agricultural related exhibits. Learn about this region at the Smoky Hill Museum now proudly featuring the exhibit "Dust, Depression and the New Deal: Life in the 1930's", along with their permanent exhibit celebrating the settling of this region.

Salina Downtown has much to offer for quirky shopping and eclectic dining. BIG fun is coming with the 2nd Annual St. Paddy's Day Pub Crawl, Saturday March 19, 4-8pm. SculptureTour Salina features 26 sculptures on loan downtown from across the U.S. - well worth the trip to the heart of our community! The 2014 exhibit closes in early April, but join us at 11:00am, Saturday, May 9 for the UNwrap Party to unveil the 2014 exhibit! In fact, all of Salina is a great place to shop, and getting better all the time! In addition to downtown, you can enjoy shopping the anchor stores and national brands found at Central Mall and across town, or more of the eclectic specialty shops throughout the community.
