Salina Area Chamber of Commerce

Right place.
Salina...a blend of 'big city' amenities and relaxed 'small city' charm.  Located in America's heartland at the crossroads of I-70 and I-135, Salina is right in the center of it all!  The Visit Salina staff at the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce can help you plan a great weekend getaway, event, meeting, or day trip to Salina!!

Right reason.  Summer is here, so take the plunge at our brand new aquatics park - Kenwood Cove!  Plan to spend a summer day at the zoo and wildlife museum at Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure, maybe on Kids Free Day (July 31). Combine the two with the Country Inn & Suites Wet & Wild Package!    Relax on the veranda at Smoky Hills Vineyards & Winery. Learn about our region's heritage at Smoky Hill Museum and the Yesteryear Museum.

If it's ENTERTAINMENT you're looking for, look no further!  Salina Community Theatre celebrates their 50th Sensational Season with "Driving Miss Daisy", starring guest actor Tyrees Allen, July 16-24. The Stiefel Theatre has great shows coming up, including Emmylou Harris (July 18), Kinsey Sicks (Aug. 28) and Black Crowes (Sept. 28).  "Photographic: Anne Collier and Melanie Schiff" is the rivetin exhibition currently at the Salina Art Center, and you can see a great film at the Salina Art Center Cinema.

July will get your motor running with the Kustom Kemps of America (KKOA) Leadsled Spectacular celebrating their 30th Anniversary in an expanded venue - Salina's beautiful Oakdale Park.  Enjoy hundreds of cars on display, entertainment throughout the weekend, and 'kool' highlights including the Friday Night Drags and this year's Doo Wop Spectacular at the Bicentennial Center on Saturday night.

Whether you prefer to shop the major retailers found at Central Mall and across town, or the more eclectic specialty shops in our historic downtown Lee District, you'll find JUST the right thing in Salina!  Most getaways are only as good as the food...and our restaurants are well aware.  From ethnic cuisines to down home barbecue and Midwestern fare, Salina will satisfy your tastes!  As you plan your visit, be sure to check out the many accommodations Salina has, all ready to welcome you!  Click here for current specials for your stay.
