Rolling Hills Zoo (RHZ) is delighted to introduce its newest resident, Viktoria, a female Amur tiger, born in March 2022 at the Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot, North Dakota.

Commemorating this momentous milestone, the Zoo is gearing up for a year-long celebration filled with special events and activities.

Rolling Hills Zoo proudly announces the newest addition to its family with the arrival of Kito, a male spotted hyena who joins Maxi, the zoo’s female hyena.  Kito’s relocation from the Hattiesburg Zoo in Mississippi to Rolling Hills Zoo marks an important step in the Species Survival Program (SSP) for these majestic animals.

Enjoy a cherished tradition featuring festive music of the season at the Salina Symphony Christmas Festival Sat., Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. or Sun., Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. at the Stiefel Theatre.
Get in the holiday spirit with performances from the Salina Symphony, Theatre Salina’s Iron Street Dance Company, Tamara Howe School of Dance, Salina Chorale, Kansas Wesleyan University Chorale and Salina Youth Choir. The beloved concert will end with a special early visit from Santa Claus!

​SALINA, KANSAS – Rolling Hills Zoo is excited to announce the arrival of Sylvia, the zoo’s first Linne’s two-toed sloth.
 
Born at Zoo Miami, this female sloth is now 4 years old, and while still young, she will likely be paired with a male in the future on a breeding recommendation.  

Boom! Salina Street Art & Mural Festival is back for its second year, and it's bigger and better than ever. In the weeks leading up to October 5-7th, 2023, the streets of downtown Salina, KS will be transforming into a vibrant canvas of art. This event will feature a variety of world-class muralists from around the globe, each bringing their own unique style of art to the area.

SALINA, KANSAS ​- Rolling Hills Zoo welcomed a new addax calf to the herd, born on July 17, 2023.  This is the first offspring for mother, Felicity, and the sixth by Ajax, the calf’s father. ​

​SALINA, KANSAS – A spotted hyena, Maxi, moved to Rolling Hills Zoo this week. This is the first time this species has been a part of Rolling Hills Zoo, with plans to add a male hyena in the future.
