Legislative Advocacy
As the leading business organization in Salina, the Chamber takes a vital interest in local elections, the candidates running for office, and the issues facing our community. The Chamber feels it is extremely important to inform you of the candidates, their background, experience, their reason(s) for seeking public office, and their priorities if elected. Click on the link below for this year’s Salina City Commission and USD 305 candidate profiles. We encourage you to vote on November 7th!
Each year, the Salina Chamber formulates a Federal and State Legislative Policy Agenda, highlighting issues at both levels of government that could affect the business climate and quality of life in Salina and the state. The manual is presented to our local and federal legislators and our Governor.
We are taking a delegation of Salina business and community leaders to the Capitol, and we'd love you to join us! We will depart from Salina together in vans, or you can meet us there. The day will be spent getting updates from the administration as well as allow time for individual meetings with representatives. |
