Candidates Forum
As the leading business organization in Salina, the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce takes a vital interest in elections, most importantly, the candidates running for local office and the issues facing our area and community. The Chamber feels it is extremely important to inform our members and the general public of the candidates, their background, past experience, reasons for seeking public office, and priorities if elected.
The Chamber and League of Women Voters are sponsoring a Candidates Forum for the Salina City Commission Candidates, on Tuesday, October 5, 6:00pm at the Visit Salina Annex, 120 W. Ash. The event will be streamed by Smoky Hill Public Television with no audience in attendance. The public can view the event live on Smoky Hill PBS Facebook page. TIME: 6pm
The format will consist of one minute opening remarks from the candidates, questions from a news media panel, screened questions from the audience, and one minute closing remarks from the candidates. Candidates will have one minute to answer the questions.
