Hutton is expanding its Salina operation in response to increased demand throughout northern Kansas. The company, which offers Design+Build, Facility Services and Energy Services, acquired Busboom & Rauh in 2019 and relocated to its downtown Salina office in May of 2021. Since then, they’ve hired many additional team members and are in the process of expanding their location on South 5th Street to accommodate the growth. “We’re excited to hire from and bring new people to the Salina region,” said Northern Kansas Market Leader Jason Gillig. “We have a team that people want to join and projects they’re excited to work on.” Recent notable hires include Eric Brown as business development leader for northern Kansas, project manager Josh Tellefson, and project engineer Tyler Spohn. Hutton also expanded its Design+Build services in the area when they added Justin May, architectural designer, and Melanie D-Young, interior designer. Some of the company’s growth is attributable to the increase in projects in and through USD 475 Junction City including work on Ft. Riley Army Base. Other current area projects include Beck’s Seed Warehouse and Distribution Center in Salina, Kansas State University West Seaton Hall renovation in Manhattan, and the Docking State Office Building in Topeka. Hutton is the designer and builder for the office expansion, which will add nearly 2,000 square feet of workspace and an architectural finishes library. The Salina Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting event will take place on Friday, February 2, at 4:00 p.m. at 137 S Fifth Street in Salina.
